first off those had to be some cheap cars, and probably a reason that they are those cheap.

I have tried on both of the gloves and I love the Mac Daddys I think that they are great feeling gloves and while I wouldnt buy the limited edition I did love the feel of haveing them on. I think that the Deft are just a wannabe, the arent bad but they do have no ventilation.

One car. Lasted almost a whole summer in high school. Purchased between a couple of guys to basically trash the thing.

Someone mentioned the AV8 by STX. I spoke with a rep at STX at some kind of function about the recent lawsuit over offset heads and about the differences between regular Protons and the Proton+. As we were talking, we began discussing the new (at the time) AV8 starter stick. He told me that the ONLY difference between the Proton, X2, and the AV8 was the price tag and the "little piece of artwork on the sidewall." I recomend this stick to anyone looking at a Proton or X2 as a cheaper alternative.

I gots a question. What is the best goalie glove on the market, I got a kid who wore the STX gladiators and after two weeks he took a mild shot to the thumb that shattered it, requiring pins and a screw (permanently installed). It seems the STX gladiator goalie is just the regular glove with a flimsy piece of plastic sewn around the thumb. I recommended hockey gloves but I am not sure they are legal for lacrosse. I think the warrior superstar goalie gloves look pretty sturdy but that is just in the picture. ANY THOUGHTS?

One of our goalies wore a warrior goalie glove (Superfreak) and loved it. The other wore a competitors, and is switching this year to the Superfreak goalie glove.

Mark Ehrenberger from MSU used an AV-8 all last season because of the price tag. I remember because we'd make fun of him for having a kiddie stick. He was a former proton user. He got first team all CCLA, and HM All American with it. The reason they are so cheap is that they throw a really cheap shaft on it. He switched the shaft out for some titanium shaft...

I completely agree. I recomend the AV8 to everyone. Good, solid, replaceable head.

OU's playin with the Mac Daddy gloves for this season....damn nice gloves, and got them at a better price then brine, gait, and stx gloves ($115 a pair, customized)

That'd lower the time from 10mins to 2mins before you get swamp-palm in a game. Ehhh...
