So according to NCAA rules...a long stick is anything from 52-72 inches long. I was wondering if anyone plays with something that is shorter then the 72 inches. When I am not in the goal, mostly just durring practice or when I am facing off, I actually am using a 52 inch stick now and it really rocks.
So any opinions?

In the past I've seen some good long-stick middies use the cut-down shaft, especially if they are offensively inclined. It still gives them a bit of a reach advantage, and it's much easier to protect it from checks when you have the ball.
