Hello, my name is Chris Mack. Currently a Sophomore at the University of Nebraska -Lincoln. I am not sure if any of you have heard, but our program last year took a drastic turn from the years prior due to recently adding a head coach and a fairly talented Freshmen class. We are only expecting to get better. Nebraska Lacrosse went from a 1-11 in 2006 to 8-6 in 2007 and would like to continue our progress at becoming a competitive team. But I come to the MCLA for another reason. After our 2007 season our Club Sports Director's Daughter, a five year old Kindergartner, was hit by a vehicle while she was crossing the street near her school. Molly was in critical condition and went through many surgeries, she starts 1st grade this fall. (Here is the link to the Journal Star's article on Molly's incident http://journalstar.com/articles/2007/06 ... 811986.txt)
This fall, October 26th - 28th, University of Nebraska Men's lacrosse team is hosting a tournament to support Molly, half of all the profits will go to an attempt to help pay off her medical bills that the Lanham family will be dealing with for many years to come, and celebrate Molly's recovery of this tragic incident. With that said, I am extending an invitation to any team who would interested to make the trip. We are asking a 600 dollar fee, per team. There will be ref's, trainers on site, and should be a great weekend of lacrosse in our state of the art facilities. We have indoor and outdoor fields reserved for that weekend, both of made of sports turf and 4 very nice grass fields.
Currently we have 6 teams who have confirmed their attendance (and hope for many more!)
