Lone Star Lacrosse-Collegiate Showcase
We learned alot from last year, the 2006 tournament has a first class Division I all weather field in Rice Stadium, Rice University situated in the heart of the Medical/Museum District of Houston. Hotels and tournament site next to the Metro light rail allowing everyone to enjoy Downtown activities in a matter of a short 5 minute ride and $2.00 roundtrip.
Tournament dates; Feb. 24-26 - come and play ALL your out of conference matches in one weekend. Guarantee 3 matches, no officiating or any other fees for a tournament cost of $350.00. On a budget? HCHSA will have low cost hotel rooms blocked, inexpensive local transportation if needed and like last year, team tours of any of the three new stadiums. We can not guarantee the weather, but Houston is normally high 60s/low 70s and sunny!

Oakland Univ played in this tourney last year. It rained all week and wrecked the grass fields. I'm glad to see they've secured Rice Stadium (which is awesome) for all the games, it should be a great weekend for all teams that travel there. Last year, the weather was bad but it did allow us to get in the three required Out of Conference games.

And if you do make the trip, take the opportunity to tour the stadiums. It's worth the time.
