2005 Hot-Dish Men's Club, College (A & B levels), Women's College & Boys High School Fall Tournament Invite:
DATE: The 2005 Hot-dish Fall Ball tournament is set for
Fri-Sun., October 7th, 8th and 9th.
SITE: The event will again be held at the Noble Sports Park Complex in Brooklyn Park, MN (Twin Cities - Northwest Metro) on 4-6 beautiful grass fields, with vendors and food concessions.
FORMAT: Friday night will feature games between local college, club and high school teams. Sat and Sun wiil feature games all day into the evening (6 grass fields two of which have lights). We use only certified officials that are all happy to reduce thier fees and be part of this fund raising event. This year there will be two divisions of 8-12 teams each for Men; a Men's Post Graduate Club/Men's Collegiate A division level and a Men's B division collegiate level. There will also be a (8) eight team boys high school division. We are also looking for someone from the women's college ranks to help run a Women's collegiate division. Games will consist of two 25 min. halves with a three game guarantee. We want to invite men's college and clubs teams from out-state (UW-Madison, Kansas State, Dordt, Creighton and other competitive Midwest/Plains State A & B teams) and the UMLL teams, plus the eight best high school teams in the state for this Fall Ball Showdown.
FRIDAY NIGHT MATCH-UPS...We hope to feature Univ of St Thomas vs. longtime rival St. John's and other great rivalries on Friday night under the lights.
HOT-DISH DINNER...A special feature of the event is having all the player's parents and friends bring a Hot-Dish to the Saturday evening 6-7:30pm Lacrosse Awards Banquet and at the adjoining Woodland Elem School cafeteria where we can honor the Minnesota's top high school and college players (All-State, All-American, All-UMLL, etc).
A GREAT CAUSE: The tournament has a great cause, competitive games and a good time for all. In the fall of 2004 the tournament rose close to $1,200 for the American Cancer Society. We hope your team can be a part of it in 2005.
TEAM FEES: The fees for the event will stay the same at $400 per team for a three game minimum at all divisions (men's & women's college/club team) and new for 2005 will be the full field $400 per boy's high school team with a three game minimum and hopefully a women's division with fees TBA.
Please feel free to pass this information onto other competitive teams you would like to play this fall!
