2006 Hot-Dish Classic Fall Charity Lacrosse Tournament is once agian looking for Boys H.S. and Men's College/Club Teams to commit to participate in this well run fall event for a great cause...

Since the Chicago Shootout is not happining this year we would like to have the men's clubs from all over the Midwest play. We are working with the No. Metro Convention & Visitors Beauru to get great hotel rates and local clubs in downtown Mpls. for post-game entertainment.

Your team is invited to the beautiful Noble Sports Park Complex in Brooklyn Park (20 min north of Minneapolis on Hwy 610) on Fri-Sun., October 6, 7, 8 2006 for a 20 team tournament on six of the Twin City's best maintained grass fields for this 6th annual fall lacrosse charity tournament. (see last year's game schedule below).

The 2006 Hot-Dish Fall-Ball Tournament is a fund raiser for the Americam Cancer Society. I will again feature an 8 team A & B division college bracket, a 4-8 team Boys high school bracket and maybe a new men's club division. The championship games will be arounf 2:20pm on Sun afternoon. The cost will be the same $400 per team and Friday night will feature local A & B men's college games.

We would love to have your team participate. All the details and team registration info are posted on the Tournament button on the http://www.laxloons.com website.

For now send your team contact info (Name, Team, Address, Email, Cell & Hm #) to info@laxloons.com. If you any questions call tournament cooordinator Mark Hellenack at 952-938-2723. Mark will be sending out an email to all interested teams with the tournmanet details in early August.

Judging starts at 5:30pm and great looking huge casserole dish trophies will be awarded at 6pm to the Hot-dish contest winners in the following categories:

I think that is from last year. I remember doing the Carleton game in full St. Olaf regalia on the day that St. Olaf played Carleton in football. The Carleton guys loved it since they stole a few Oles. In all honesty the Hotdish is a lot of fun. I think we need to see if we can get the Scandanavian schools (especially those with Norwegian heritage) in a tournament and make the loser eat lutefisk. Then again I would finally have a reason to lose.
