The Philadelphia Wings have released Casey Cittadino, Adam Crystal, Ian Rosenberger, John Ryan, and Justin Tischler according to General Manager Lindsay Sanderson.

Rosenberger, a defender out of Cornell University, was about to enter his third season with the Wings. He was originally signed by the Wings as a free agent prior to the 2006 season and was a practice squad player until his transfer to the active roster on March 1, 2006.

Crystal, a rookie defender from Drexel University, was drafted by the Wings in the sixth round of this year’s National Lacrosse League Entry Draft.

Cittadino, a Towson graduate, was originally drafted by the Colorado Mammoth in the fifth round of the 2007 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft.

Ryan played forward at The Military Academy at West Point and graduated in 2003.

Tischler, a graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University, was a former All-Middle Atlantic Conference selection in 2005.

Thirty-six players were invited to participate in the Wings’ training camp which opened on November 10. Sanderson will have the task of cutting the roster to 23, by the National Lacrosse League’s official cut down date on December 13.

The Wings open their 2008 season on Saturday, January 12 vs. the Chicago Shamrox at the Wachovia Center. Great season tickets are available for all Wings home games! Season tickets start as low as $80 and are available by calling the Wings sales office at (215) 389-WING (9464) or log on to www.wingslax.com for ticket information.

The Philadelphia Wings are owned and operated by Philadelphia Wings L.P., whose principal owners are Russ Cline, Chris Fritz and Michael French. Comcast-Spectacor serves as the marketing, promotional, advertising, sponsorship and publicity arm of the Wings.
