Board of governers meeting right now - may be more information within a few hours... May not change anything, or it may.

I'll gladly fill in as a replacement player. Who's with me?

Are there any details available about the disagreement?

Spoke to some friends:
1. Never say never, but we're about as close to no NLL this year as you can get - 99.99999999999% sure. SUBSEQUENT NOTE - OWNERS TOLD TO RELEASE THEIR DATES AT THEIR ARENA'S TODAY.
2. There are numerous issues of contention in addition to those listed in the article above. Those issues will not be aired publically, but have to be resolved.
3. When (if?) the league returns in 2008, I'll be interested to see how many teams still exist in their current form and current location. And to see if any fall. This question obviously presupposes certain answers.
Many of us have season tix - I know I do - let's use this thread to compare/contrast refund policies of the various teams and see if we're all being treated consistently.

I assume this kills any chance of the NLL outdoor league that has been rumored for so long.

The NLL Outdoor Showcase that was scheduled for September got canceled, but I don't remember hearing any details on it that weren't [obviously] PR lies. This is pretty upsetting.

From what I heard, there was never really much in the NLL trying to go outdoors other than wishful thinking. As far as tickets go, the Mammoth are considering offering whatever you paid towards season tix to be worth other Pepsi Center events (Avs and Nuggets).

A really sad day for the sport of lacrosse.
Here's hoping that the MLL grows in popularity and expands in the vacuum being left by the NLL. I personally like field lacrosse alot more than box lax anyway. But I'm still saddened by this tragic announcement.

Interesting article in Philly website:
"A spokeswoman for the Wings said their 5,000 season-ticket holders will receive full refunds and can expect a communication Wednesday. The Wings had a 16-game schedule, with eight games at the Wachovia Center. They averaged 12,500 fans last season.

The news shocked the sports world so much, that even in the cities with franchises, it barely made the sports flashes.
Like the NHL a few years ago, the league is sinking in its own self-perceived success. Unlike the NHL, which had cities with a loyal base of season-ticket holders, your league won't be as lucky.

Anyone have some league memorabilia they want to unload now... maybe a mammoth or titans jersey for sale? PM me what you got and your price.
