The Portland LumberJax and the Minnesota Swarm have announced that they will meet up at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, British Columbia in a preseason exhibition game. The match up will take place on Saturday, December 16th at 7:05 PM Pacific, marking the first time the arena will host a National Lacrosse League game.

"An exhibition game in Victoria is a great opportunity for everyone involved," Portland LumberJax Head Coach and Derek Keenan commented. "Both Minnesota and Portland have a number of players who call Victoria their hometown, making this very exciting for them to perform in front of family and friends right at home."

Last season when the two teams matched up for the first ever time, the Swarm beat the LumberJax 14-12 in Portland. Later in the season however the LumberJax avenged the defeat with a 13-8 win in Minnesota. The LumberJax finished their inaugural season at the top of the Western Division with a 11-5 record, and the Swarm completed their second season in the league with an 8-8 record in the Eastern Division.
