San Jose signs Maryland standout Xander Ritz

San Jose Stealth Assistant General Manager Doug Locker announced today that the club has signed free agent forward Xander Ritz to a one-year contract. Ritz joins the Stealth out of the University of Maryland where he served as team captain last season. With the Terrapins Ritz received Honorable Mention All-American honors was named to the All Atlantic Coast Conference Team.

"Xander is a very smart and talented lacrosse player who can play a variety of roles for us this year," said Locker.

The six-foot, 185-pound native of Wayne, Pennsylvania finished his senior year at the University of Maryland scoring 46 points on 34 goals and 12 assists. He was named to the Honorable Mention All America Team and the All Atlantic Coast Conference Team. Over his college career, he compiled 80 goals, added 70 assists and was named to the Maryland and Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Rolls.
