The Chicago Shamrox announced this week the signing of seasoned defender Carter Livingstone and veteran forward Tom Montour, both were signed to one-year deals. The NLL veteran players were both originally acquired by Chicago in the 2006 expansion draft. Montour was selected seventh in the expansion draft after playing ten games with the Portland LumberJax last season. Livingstone played the past two seasons for Rochester before being taken 17th overall in the expansion draft.
Carter Livingstone has played in 51 games, scooped up 115 loose balls and tallied 48 career penalty minutes. The six-foot-four, 210 pound defender is a five-year NLL veteran having played three seasons with the Toronto Rock and two seasons with the Rochester Knighthawks. Livingstone started his career by winning back to back Championships with the Rock in 2002 and 2003.
Tom Montour also played for the 2003 Toronto Rock Championship team and is a versatile NLL veteran with 13 goals and 23 assists for 36 total points in 24 games. In addition to putting balls in the net, the six-foot, 170 pound forward also scooped up 86 loose balls throughout his career. Montour played one season with Toronto, two with the Buffalo Bandits and last season with the Portland LumberJax.
"We are excited to finalize our strong expansion draft by signing Livingstone and Montour, two more players with Champions Cup experience," said Shamrox GM/Head Coach Jamie Batley. "Livingstone provides our defense with experience and talent and Montour brings a well rounded NLL veteran into our transition mix."
