2007 Lacrosse All-Star Game Slated For Portland

The National Lacrosse League announced Tuesday that Portland will host its All-Star Game next year -- bringing about 15,000 fans from across the country. Kristian Foden-Vencil reports.
The Rose City beat out the likes of Denver, Colorado and Edmundton, Alberta, for the game, which will be played March 10th 2007 in the Rose Garden.
League Commissioner Jim Jennings flew into town to make the announcement at city hall.
Jim Jennings: "It's hard to believe that it's only 14 months ago that I stood in front of you in 2005 to award an expansion franchise to the City of Portland. In just one season, you've put Portland on the Lacrosse map, a successful team on the floor, and off, this team became an important part of the sports landscape."
