NLL to expand to Chicago and New York in 2007

The National Lacrosse League will expand to Chicago and New York for the 2007 season.

The NLL approved the Chicago franchise several weeks ago and voted to approve the New York franchise Tuesday, according to Michael French, co-owner of the Philadelphia Wings and chairman of the league's expansion committee.

The Chicago franchise will play their games at the brand new 11,000-seat Sears Centre, which is set to open this fall. The league was able to secure key Saturday night games, a big sticking point for expanding to a new city.

Ha, I was a little lazy. I'm glad to see NLL returning to Manhattan. Really excited to see indoor and outdoor in Chicago in the next 12 months.
