DENVER - Former DU men's lacrosse player Matt Brown recently signed a one-year professional contract with the Arizona Sting. Brown, an attackman, was picked by the Sting with the fifth overall pick in the 2005 National Lacrosse League entry draft. Brown is the second former Pioneer to be drafted after, midfielder Scott Davidson was also drafted by the Colorado Mammoth with the 39th overall pick in the 2005 NLL entry draft.

DU will also be represented at the World Games in 2006 as Scott Davidson made the Canadian National Team.

Geoff Snider from Denver also made the Canadian team. I was at one of the tryout camps, and he absolutely dominated on faceoffs.

EDIT: My fault, it was Snider I was thinking of and not Davidson...and I know Brown was invited to the tryout camp, but didn't make the final roster.
