WHO WANTS SOME? - JAX EXHIBITION SCRIMMAGE DECEMBER 1ST IN ROSE GARDEN
FIRST LOOK INCLUDES FREE PARKING, $1 HOT DOGS AND $1 SODAS
The Portland LumberJax will host their inaugural exhibition scrimmage on Thursday, December 1 at 7p in the Rose Garden free of charge. Fans will get a preview of all the blood, sweat and intensity that makes indoor lacrosse one of the most exciting professional sports.
The night includes free parking, $1 hot dogs and $1 sodas for guests, as the Rose Garden becomes Jax central with music, entertainment and more. This is the first chance for Portlanders to catch the expansion team in action. Free tickets can be downloaded from www.PortlandJax.com and are also available at many retailers around the Portland area.
Thirty-five players are still in contention to make the 23-man LumberJax roster. University of Oregon and Grant High School alum Danny Ernst continues to strive to make his hometown team. All of the signed Jax players will show off their talents through this high-paced, high-action game. With 12 players still left to be cut, the fights, possessions and goals at the exhibition game will be all the more important.
After the scrimmage players will be signing autographs and meeting with fans. This is a great opportunity to meet the National Lacrosse League’s number one draft pick, Brodie Merrill as well as General Manager and Head Coach, Derek Keenan.

The Portland LumberJax (www.PortlandJax.com) were founded on May 11, 2005 as an expansion franchise in the National Lacrosse League, which features the best lacrosse players in the world. LumberJax are owned by the youngest majority owner in professional sports, 25-year-old Angela Batinovich, who relocated permanently to Portland, OR from California. The LumberJax are one of 11 teams in the NLL and will play eight of the sixteen regular season games at the Rose Garden, which is owned by Portland Arena Management LLC.
