LUMBERJAX ANNOUNCE INAUGURAL SCHEDULE – OPEN AGAINST COLORADO ON JANUARY 21

WEEKENDS IN PORTLAND WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

The Portland LumberJax today announced their inaugural regular season schedule (attached and below), which will open on Saturday, January 21 at 7:30p against the Colorado Mammoth. All eight home games at the Rose Garden are weekend dates including four Saturday nights and two Friday nights. One home exhibition game in December will be added at a later date.

“Collectively with Global Spectrum and the NLL, we have put together an exciting inaugural schedule that is perfect for Portland fans to experience this amazing product for the first time at the Rose Garden,” said Angela Batinovich, majority owner of the Portland LumberJax. “Weekends in Portland will never be the same!”

The Portland LumberJax (www.PortlandJax.com) were founded on May 11, 2005 as an expansion franchise in the National Lacrosse League, which features the best lacrosse players in the world. LumberJax are owned by the youngest majority owner in professional sports, 24-year-old Angela Batinovich, who relocated permanently to Portland, OR from California. The LumberJax are one of 11 teams in the NLL and will play eight of the sixteen regular season games at the Rose Garden, which is owned by Portland Arena Management LLC. Global Spectrum, the facility management company for the Rose Quarter, serves as the sales, marketing, promotional, and publicity arm of the LumberJax.
