PHILADELPHIA - On the road and down by three midway through the third quarter Friday night, the Buffalo Bandits' defense decided to take matters into its own hands.
The Bandits allowed the Philadelphia Wings just one score over the last 23 minutes, 19 seconds of a 15-10 National Lacrosse League victory in the Wachovia Center.

Buffalo (2-2) scored eight straight times, turning a 9-6 deficit into a 15-9 advantage in winning in the building for the third consecutive time.

"We went out and took this game," said Bandits coach Darris Kilgour, whose team hosts a rematch at 7:30 tonight in HSBC Arena (Radio 550 AM). "We just didn't let them back in the game. In the fourth quarter we were still trying to beat them by 20 goals if we could, we were that aggressive."

John Tavares, rookie Delby Powless and A.J. Shannon all scored three times to lead the balanced Bandits, while Dan Teat tallied twice.
