DENVER - Six months after winning its first National Lacrosse League title and hoisting the Champion's Cup, the Colorado Mammoth returned to action on Sunday for its Maroon and White intrasquad game at Pepsi Center.

Forward Brian Langtry scored four goals to lead the White team to a come-from-behind victory before approximately 4,000 fans that attended the free event. The Mammoth, which opened training camp for the 2007 season on Saturday, split its 40-man camp roster into two teams for the game. The roster must be trimmed to 23 players by Dec. 14 and the Mammoth will begin defense of its NLL title on Dec. 30 at home against the Rochester Knighthawks.

"It was great to see the guys on the floor competing so hard," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "We've got a very talented group of players in camp and a great mix of young guys and veterans."

The Maroon team took a 5-0 lead in the first half before rookie Pat Hanley scored for the White team. Team Maroon took a 6-3 lead into halftime and led 10-8 after three quarters before Team White rallied to score four goals in the final quarter.

Mammoth captain Gavin Prout added three goals for the White team while forward Josh Sims led Team Maroon with four.

Former University of Denver standouts Andrew Huelskoetter and Scott Davidson, both of whom were on the Mammoth's practice squad last season, scored two goals apiece. Rookie Kevin Olson also scored twice.
