I understand that MLL Draft will be this Wednesday, May 31, isn't it? Is the Rochester Rattlers the one with the number one draft pick? Who do you think would go first? Matt Ward or Sean Morris or Joe Walters.

I am sure the folks in the Rattlers administrative department would like to have Joe Walters since he is a local boy, but I am not sure if his stock is worth it after being shut out by the Minutemen last Saturday.

Ward has to be the hottest commodity right now with his five-goal performance today; he sure has one of the hardest shots (at one point, it was 90 mph).

Ward did nothing but help his "draft stock" by his performance in the NCAA Tourney this year.

Interesting to see Zash at 6...

And to see Moyer go in the Second round???? I'd have taken him over Culver, but that might be my LI prejudices coming to roost.

Peyser is a man - Philly just really helped itself at midfield with Zash and Peyser

Picking McGlone ahead of Peyser (on talent alone) seems surprising to me. Baltimore did do well by getting Ward and Dixon though - this league is made for Dixon.

blatimore got a nice draft!

I am sure the Rochester Rattlers fans will have to get used seeing the Garber's Gorilla tattoo on Reid's leg.

Got this info from laxpower's Division I forum with the thread title, "Sweet Lax Tattos":

maybe I'm missing something, but what's the point drafting Birsner or Russell?

Finding out that the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle online sports section and even the Irondequoit Lacrosse websites are quite behind in announcing the local boy, Joe Walters being the overall #1 pick in the 2006 MLL Draft. Unless I totally overlooked something while reading those sites, it is interesting that both sites are not trumpeting the announcement.
