San Francisco, CA – Today the San Francisco Dragons announced the hiring of Hank Molloy as new President of the franchise and promoted Doug Locker to Executive Vice President/General Manager.

Hank Malloy is a lacrosse icon in the Bay Area and abroad. His extensive lacrosse resume expands nearly 50 years beginning with starting Illinois’ first high school lacrosse program in 1958. Molloy played lacrosse for the United States Naval Academy and then for the Palo Alto Lacrosse Club, which he later managed.

In 1998, Molloy became the president of the Northern California chapter of the Lacrosse Foundation, which was later known as US Lacrosse. Hank currently plays with the Navy Old Goats Grand Masters Team, officiates collegiate and high school games, conducts training clinics for officials, coaches introductory camps for youngsters in Santa Clara County, and serves on the board directors and executive committee of his chapter of US Lacrosse.

Doug Locker was promoted to Executive Vice President, taking on an expanded role with the organization. Gregg Jacobs, Managing Member of the new ownership team of the Dragons said, "Doug has been a key member of the Dragons success and we are very pleased that he will be taking on expanded responsibilities with the team.” Locker will now oversee all Dragons game operations as well as work with Molloy on all business aspects of the team. “I am looking forward to working directly with Doug at the professional level’ said Malloy. “He and I have worked in many lacrosse circles over the past 25 years.”

The San Francisco Dragons, who as a member of the 10-team Major League Lacrosse (MLL) league, is embarking on its second season after advancing to the playoffs in 2006. The inaugural season had many highlights including attackman Ryan Powell being named both Warrior Offensive Player of the Year and Bud Light MVP.

The Dragons, based at historic Kezar Stadium’s 9,044-seat track & field facility, will provide fun, affordable family entertainment showcasing America’s “fastest growing team sport” in addition to becoming the foremost resource for the lacrosse community.

The Dragons play 12 games in the regular season, with its six home games being played at Kezar Stadium. The 2007 Season Home Opener will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at 2:30 p.m. Season, group and individual tickets for the Dragons are available.
