A Lacrosse Movie, featuring lacrosse legend Mikey Powell, will premiere in Syracuse, NY on Saturday, December 10, 2005. Presented by Brine, the documentary chronicles the life and lacrosse career of Mikey Powell, one of the sports’ most talented and charismatic stars and includes footage of his brothers Casey and Ryan and the rest of the Brine R&D Team.

The show will take place at the Palace Theater in the brothers’ former stomping ground of Syracuse, NY. From 1 – 4pm, lacrosse enthusiasts can watch the world premiere of the movie with an introduction by Brine’s VP of Sales & Marketing, Mike Martin, participate in a Question & Answer Session with Mikey Powell and win free Mikey Powell ad Brine products. The event will conclude with an autograph signing by Mikey. Tickets are available in advance at Lacrosse Unlimited and other area lacrosse specialty stores and at the door for $10/person. Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.

The first of its kind in the lacrosse world, A Lacrosse Movie is an artistic portrayal of Mikey Powell, the four-time All-American lacrosse player and self-proclaimed “athletic entertainer.” The film includes home movies of young Mikey playing his first lacrosse games, lip-synching for the camera and talking to his mom; highlights of his lacrosse career at Syracuse University; footage of the Powell Brothers and the rest of the Brine R&D Team and much more.

The Syracuse premiere of A Lacrosse Movie featuring Mikey Powell is the only one in the country and a commemorative edition DVD signed by Mikey will be available at the show. The DVD is also available for purchase at lacrosse stores nationwide. To find a location, visit the dealer locator at brine.com
