Michigan seems to be having an off year to me. Some nice wins over Florida and FSU, and another one over Lindenwood don't seem more impressive than some of the other seasons put together. Have they earned their 4 spot? I have no doubt that they will bring their A game to nationals but I'd like to see some teams get the seedings they deserved.

I have to agree here...I think Michigan should move down to the 6-8 range, and Arizona should be up in the 5-7 area. To me, Arizona's resume is more impressive than Michigan's.

With 7 AQ's in the top 16 with 2 to go (rmlc & ccla) looks like the top 16 in the poll will actually all go to tourney... first time? So long as utah and maybe michigan state or buffalo don't pull off major upsets. Should make for some good first round matchups in Dallas

They seem to have escaped punishment for the BYU loss. I believe they were in 1st place when they played CSU, dropped to 5th for that loss and then lost again to BYU only days after that 4/11 poll. They then played only one more game before the 4/25 poll against MSU who was then #20 but moved up to #4 in that poll following the ASU loss to Zona and the CU loss to CSU. UMD was playing UMLL competition during that period and seemed to move up to 7 solely on the grounds of the ASU loss. Sonoma had a game against then #15 CalPoly.

In this way the Michigan loss to BYU sort of slipped through the cracks it would seem. Unless I missed something.... A lot of discussion occurred regarding UCSB's possible leapfrog of UMD, but nothing about Michigan staying put, interesting...

Michigan:

Wow, this just makes no sense!! Now, I know there is politics in the polls.

Voters, you need to vote on what teams have done THIS YEAR, don't vote on reputation!

What reputations does Michigan have though? Really what have they ever done to earn this so called "rep"?

Personally I think 1-3 are pretty much a no brainer...after that it's a toss up. CU, Michigan, UCSB, UofA, ASU and UMD have all had relatively similar type seasons. BC and NU are just outside that group but have proven worthy also. The RMLC tourney should be interesting if Utah were to pull a shocker over BYU. This next couple of weeks is going to be fun and interesting.

Michigan has a rep . . .
they usually beat some good teams over spring break and then, when they had it, would usually sweep the michigan invitational. They would follow this up by winning the ccla (tourney and regular season). Their problems are come tournament time. The wheels always seem to fall off the bus.

so, they have a good regular season rep. Post season is where they have been sub par.

a bit confused here...i could be wrong, and not trying to point any fingers... but could someone throw me some reasoning for why ASU moves up a spot after losing in the WCLL quarterfinals by 5 goals, their 2nd loss in a row? I could be missing or forgetting something, but it seems a little odd to me.

anyone care to hit me with some knowledge?

Noma fell out of the top 10, UCSB filled that spot and then ASU moves up one to fill UCSB's vacated #9 spot. That movement is due to the way the points fell. The spread between ASU, BC, and Noma is only 33 points. (And ASU did lose points from the last poll)

Ah, I see. Thanks PSL. I thought it might have to do with somethin like Noma's drop, I see now that ASU lost points from the last poll.

Poll seems pretty accurate as far as I know then, Im no poll guru tho
