Interesting. The RMLC holds the top 3 spots in the pre-season poll. Probably not out of the realm of possibility by the end of the season either. I suspect that by the end of the year that Cal Poly will be well below the #11 spot. I also suspect that Chapman may be poised to make a run up the rankings. By the end of the season I expect to see UCSB in front of SSU in the rankings also.

February 24th and 25th are gonna be some pretty big games in Minneapolis, both Cal Poly and Lindenwood are making the trip up to play us (Minnesota Duluth) as well as the U of MN twin cities.

That same weekend CSU and Noma are in Eugene for a Friday, Saturday, Sunday round robin with the Ducks. Should be a good one.

anyone else find it shocking that san diego is not in the top 25?? after winning back to back B championships, and beating ucsd last year, still can't crack the top 25??
I know there was discusssion about how they would have done last year if they were in the A division. i guess this will give us a better idea of how the top B teams stack up against the A division.

UCSD has no business being in the Top 25 right now. That ranking is solely based on last year.

Educated guesses...hence the fact that this is "preseason" and all will change soon. Cmon this isnt the BCS.

CHico State
Because of our place in the polls (35) it affords us the opportunity to leave a lasting impression with all the teams we play this season, and a chance to earn respect from the league in general, something Chico has certainly been lacking the last few years.
I am excited to see how Chapman does this year and hope that their coaching is as good as their recruiting. I am confident they will make the nationals this year.
Also, I am excited to see what Cal Poly will do this year under new coaching, which has been said to be well organized despite the youth of the coach.
Cal Berkeley has already had strong showings in the pre-season against Cal Poly which may either show the growth of the bears (who have a wealth of athletes) or the problems that need to be fixed in Cal Poly.
There are a couple of head-scratchers in the top 25, but I hope they can show up and defend the places they have been given, but not all of them will go to Denver this year.

I agree. Especially given the fact that the national tournament will be in Dallas, Texas.

Cal Poly beat them in nationals but still is ranked behind them?!?!
For some reason no one ever seems to give UMD any credit. They are currently ranked #12 with beating #9 FSU, #10 Lindenwood, #11 Cal Poly, and # 13 Utah last year. How are they not in the top ten and still ranked behind THREE teams that they beat last year. Does not make much sense if you ask me. UMD returns every all american from last year, added two high school americans, and return their top players in points. They will be a team to be reckoned with.

Empahsis added (again)
Please complete a similar analysis of the teams you mention before you can be taken as anything other than - the most dangerous of people - one only partially informed.

he did say last year, but he also said they didn't lose anyone to graduation so the team will be similar to last years. So it would appear that the argument holds water. Although I don't know about tooting your own team on the boards, even if I am a fan of Duluth.
