Thanks, benji- it's always good to see that the actual poll really represents what people are generally thinking- and also that those on the message boards (at least some of us) have some idea how things are doing in the country.

I looked through quickly, but I didn't see any teams more than 2 spots off the regular poll- and most of the position changes were by just a few points.

It would be nice if we could get some more poll voters for the MB Poll, since the more we have, the less significance voting anomalies will carry.

PM me if you're interested.

Might not be a bad idea to list who the poll voters are when you release the message board poll.

I a bit surprised to see Texas sneak in there at the bottom of the poll. they are 5-0, but against a teams that have a combined record of 4-14. And if you take UNT out of that the remaining teams are 1-13. They may be a very good team, but at this point I have yet to see anything out of them that would make them a top 25 team. And yes I do realize that 20-25 are basically irrelevant, but just thought is was interesting.

Like I said- the more poll voters, the fewer the oddities- the more input, the closer statistics will get to normalization.

Don't worry atxlax I'm not criticizing, just thought it was interesting and was trying to start some conversation.

Waterboy,

How many voters does the official poll have and how does that compare to what you are working with? It looked like you were working with around 20 or so which I thought wasn't to bad, but I never knew how many on your list actually ended up being voters. Just curious.

Based on the (9), (1), and (1), I'd say there are 11 voters in the message board poll. I am one of them.

I had UT at #25 in my poll, and Tech at #19... just wanted to start a little LSA conversation.

For all of those that voted in the first message board poll, don't forget to send me your second message board poll- preferably by Tuesday night, but Wednesday morning is ok if you're in a time crunch.

This one shouldn't be anywhere near as easy- the season is "gettin good."

Should be an interesting one. I started mine on sunday and I still am not satisfied.... I think i may just finish mine by taking the 15 or so teams who I am not sure where they should be exactly in the poll, closing my eyes and pointing to them on a piece of paper... Good luck to the rest of you in finishing your polls.
