Any chance of getting the total points, first place votes, etc?

I hope to do that very soon.

Poll

There a couple of surprises, starting with 'Noma at #1. Not a way-out spot for the Seawolves to be ranked, of course -- just mildly surprising in my opinion.

The biggest surprise I see is Arizona all the way down at #15 to start. I recognize that the Laxcats have slipped from elite status the last couple years, but I believe this ranking is way too low regardless. 'Zona lost to Oregon only 7-5 (if memory serves) in the tourney last season and did beat BYU in the regular season, too. I'd still sneak 'Zona into the Top 10, but just barely.

Agree with Dan about Zona, that also being said, not taking anything away from our win against them, but it was rumored that they didnt have all of their players with them too and it was a good game.

Look out for CU this year. They are definently on the same level as CSU and BYU. There is a lot of parity for the top 3 RMLC teams this year.

I don't find this to be a surprise at all. They returned the bulk of the team that made the final game last year. They only lost Esposito, Hamann, Wiley & O'Mahoney from a very deep, experienced roster. I think the pollsters got it right by having them the preseason #1.

best line-up that i've seen in a preseason poll thus far. Noma is fine in the number one spot. They played a hell of a final game against UCSB last year.

Confusion?

Quick question.... How does CU get ranked 8th after nearly beating Sonoma and beating Oregon during the season? To the best of my knowledge, they lost maybe 3 seniors. How do the pundits create these preseason polls? What is the system used? Just asking... Don't want to incur the wrath of any angry BYU fans.....

Maybe it's because CU finished 7th last year and the pundits decided to rank CSU #2, so CU goes down one spot to #8. OR maybe it's the curse of Jumbo. Clear the crease and take his candy.

Wow, do I sense a little hostility in your statements Velvet? I was simply posing a question. Why is everybody so angry? By the way, why is it relevant that CSU is #2? (CU beat CSU in a fall scrimmage.) Have a good night!

i believe Velvet was trying to brag about how much better CSU is then CU. i mean, thats the only logical thing...or it could be relevant because CSU wasnt ranked in the final poll last year, and now they are 2. which is why CU would fall from 7 last year to 8 this year (assuming the pollsters were using last years poll as a guide) i mean im not velvet, so youd have to ask him...but i bet the first guess is the right one... (heavy heavy sarcasm...)
