Isn't there another B poll due out today? I know Sonny and the gang are doing their best, and I thank them for all of their efforts. Just checking and looking for input.

As far as the top five go you'll get no gripes here. San Diego seems primed and ready to roll. UVSC has kept it together all season. A little surprised that claremont didn't drop a spot or two, but would still have them in the top five. Montana and Appalachian State seem to have slipped in. Montana seems unblemished in B, and I am looking forward to the outcome of the Appalachian State-Emory rematch. Best of luck in your conference tournaments.

Brandon needs to quit posting..........
1. San Diego, UVSC, Montana all seem to be for real
2. App State suffering a loss to emory and still staying up in the polls.....
3. Calvin getting a #1 vote after their losses......
4. Pac Luteran sub .500, but the SOS is sweet. But i am sure that dosent make you worthy
5. SJU had a tough game vs a suprising St. Thomas but still won. We haven't lost in almost two years. Last loss was Febuary 3rd last year vs #25 A div U of MN. Rawr..

Pinball-
This ends here. You and I in fisticufs. I am disapointed that we dropped this week, though not surprised. A little stunned with the Calvin first place vote, but that's neither here nor there. I agree, Montana, UVSC, and San Diego are all for real. We played a tough St. Thomas team, and they took us to overtime. I believe good teams find a way to win, but that was anybodies game. Does anyone other than Pinball have any input?

this poll seems to be fair for the late season....uvsc is a strong team and it doesn't surprise me that they have been in the top four all year. we just came off of a road trip against montana and they deserve the respect they are getting. whoever goes to nationals this year from the pncll is going to have a great boost there. after looking at the polls....most teams in the B playoffs for the pncll are ranked in the top 20 montana(4) PLU ( 8 )
Linfield(14) and UPS (15)...as far as our SOS for season and us not deserving our SOS is against A and B teams for the year. We have 2 losses to B teams UPS by 3 and Montana by 4 or 6 i don't remember i got knocked out that weekend. anyways good luck to all in the upcoming weeks of playoffs and i hope to see some of you at nationals.

It would seem that Calvin and Indiana of PA should at least swap spots, since IUP beat Calvin by 2.
Also, do A teams that are playing down qualify for rankings in the B poll? I see Ball State with some votes.

How is Calvin still in the top 20! They lost to Ball State and Indiana! Wait, I think their coach is a voter, that would explain the 1st place vote, what a stud.

Us at IUP are all pretty upset with calvin getting put in front of us in the poll. But it just helps us light a fire inside going into playoffs next weekend.

For the record, IUP has rocketed up my poll and is in my top 10, ahead of Calvin. I am shocked that they didn't break into the top ten with the way they've been playing. Obviously I haven't seen them play, but the scoreboard says volumes for that team.
The other team making a strong push up in the polls is Montana State, with a #6 power ranking and only one loss to division A Colorado.
By the way, can anyone tell me why UVSC didn't play Montana State this year? That would have been a very telling contest. . .my guess is that they'll see each other in the playoffs very soon.
And no, it is my understanding that teams from the A division playing down are not eligible for the top-25. Ball State should not be receiving votes, which is also the case with Boise State in the RMLC. They both show up on laxpower.com, but should not be in our polls.

To set the record straight, I haven't voted Calvin #1 since the pre-season poll in Nov/Dec, and back then I wasn't alone. Our ranking in the final 2004 LaxPower ratings were the best indicator us voters had.
Since then I've seen teams in the UMLL, LSA, WCLL, RMLC, and my CCLA. I am expecting an exciting tournament.
Rest assured Indiana U of PA, you've got this voter's respect, even if it took a while for others to acknowledge you. My vote was not the cause for Calvin ranking higher that you. In other voters defense, your schedule and lack of information about you made it difficult to rank you higher until 3 weeks ago.
It is a shame that Grove City drew Taylor and Ferris State to be their games that didn't count in CCLA rankings, they are a quality team and are not convincingly #5 in our conference, especially after beating Ferris this weekend.
CCLA-B Play-Offs
#1 Indiana U of PA (6-0) vs #4 Taylor (4-2) on Friday 4/29 at 8pm
#2 Calvin (5-1) vs #3 Ferris State (4-2) on Friday 4/29 at 5:30pm
Now, the conference tournaments are starting, so, the national championship tournament has virtually begun, it's single elimination from here on out. I'll wish everyone the best of luck and am joyed that we'll eventually know how teams really compare.
Next week I'll roll out the Division B national tournament pick-em contest where we can all test our knowledge, should be fun to see.
