This is going to be a very hard poll to put together. There is no rhyme or reason for whats happening.

Sonoma beat CSU
CSU beat UMD
UMD beat BYU
BYU beat SFU
SFU beat Sonoma

1. Michigan
2. Chapman
3. Oregon
4 - 8. In no particular order CSU, UMD, BYU, SFU, Sonoma
9. ASU
10. UCSB

Not sure how UCSB and ASU drop from 6 and 8 respectively to 9 and 10 when they have done nothing in the last two weeks except win.

Oregon and CSU play Tues so there could be even more mud to plow through before the poll is released.

I will agree that Mich, Chap and Oregon are 1,2 and 3.

Gets messier if FSU can beat UCSB in Tallahassee tomorrow night.

Agree completely with both of these statements.

UCSB and ASU haven't beat any of the teams I had listed above, and their losses to BYU hurt them. In my opinion they haven't played well enough to be above those teams listed.

Looks like Arizona will drop to around #24/25 (loss to unranked SDSU at home, decent win over Illinois at home)

Utah should drop from the rankings (10 pt loss to unranked Claremont, they face #13 Cal Poly SLO today)

Same with Texas (loss at home to unranked Chico State).

Stanford should find themselves in the next poll. Not sure who else should move up...probably Indiana or Michigan State...

Georgia should drop some at least below Virginia Tech.

Central Florida, despite the big loss to FSU, should move ahead of Virginia Tech...pending Santa Clara game tonight!)

Thats enough for now.

ASU, BYU, CSU, SFU, SSU, UCSB and UMD have all played each other in some combination and every speculator out there will have their opinions on where they fit.

The one thing I believe we can all look forward to is that with the exception of UMD each of the above teams will all have a chance in the next 6 weeks to prove they belong in this group as they all have games with each other or the top three teams remaining on their schedule.

UMD's loss since the last poll was to Michigan

But yes I am going to guess the poll voters are going to have some long nights trying to figure this next one out!

I totally agree. They are my sleeper in the WCLL.

Could happen. FSU is going to have to press UCSB to make it happen. If FSU plays slow down against UCSB they will get burned.

You could make a case for ranking Claremont ahead of Michigan State. Claremont beat ranked Utah by 10 goals, a team which beat MSU. Claremont has only one MCLA loss to UCSB (also lost to Whittier and NDNU).

The 20-25 spots are even tougher to rank than 1 through 19. Indiana and Stanford are both worthy of consideration.

Claremont should be in the top 25 given the strength of the WCLL and their record so far.
