Okay. I'll give it a try:

1. Michigan: tested and shown results
2. Chapman: Not as tested as Michigan, but has shown that they have a lot of fire power and a good defense.
3. CSU: Has won the games they needed to win
4. Oregon: Still not tested, but hasn't lost
5. BYU: Only losses came against the two best teams
6. UCSB: Only loss is to BYU. Wins over several ranked teams.
7. UMD: 2 losses. Only quality win is against BC.
8. ASU: Wins over a couple of ranked teams. Only loss is to Michigan
9. Sonoma: Hasn't had a big game yet, but they have beat the teams ranked below them
10. BC: I think they deserve some points for scheduling tough early season games and playing well in them.

I would also like to see Simon Fraser move up, but not into the top 10. Not yet at least.

i think the top 10 is starting to get more defined....i realize people will prolly argue the juggling of byu, ucsb, umd, and sonoma....

the way i see it the first four are fairly set until one loses, then everthing can be redone...byu beat ucsb so i put them higher, but overall i think ucsb has a better body of work than sonoma and umd...as with asu

sfu could be ranked higher since they have good body of work and only the loss to byu, so i guess time will tell on that (oregon v sfu should be a good one to help us on this - though if sfu wins i think all hell could break loose haha)

ok well that how i see it, i bet there are plenty of dissenters out there so msg away!

Winners - Michigan, who's wins over Arizona, BYU, and Minn-Duluth should gain them the #1 spot. Congrats to Michigan! And the coaching staff's at Chapman and CSU who by not being #1 can grab an old helmet, paint it maze and blue and bring it to practice each day and tell their players there is more work to be done.

Losers - Minn-Duluth, who is 1-2 against Top 25 talent and now are at the mercy of the pollsters(not like they won't be at the tournament, but their day 1 just got much harder). They only have 2 T25 left with Arizona and BYU. Losing both will be very damaging. Beating Arizona won't help them that much as it would help drop Arizona down more.

Winners - Oregon, due to Simon Fraser's impressive wins over the weekend. A higher ranked Simon Fraser will increase Oregon's strength of schedule, allow indirect comparisons, and bump the value of PNCLL tournament.

Losers - Boston College, since Northeastern has not faired well. BC's early losses knocked them out of the T10, and only face FSU and Northeastern. Losing will be damaging, but beating FSU won't help because their T25 OOC wins would both be in the SELC. And, a weakened Northeastern means low value added in their end of the year match-up and PCLL tournament.

Winners - Colorado, for dropping their game vs. Florida State. CU now plays potential T5 in Oregon, BYU, CSU, and Michigan. Loses here can be pardoned because these teams are T5. Then they play a rising Cal Poly and a dropping Arizona and Utah. This way if there are any losses they are to WCLL or RMLC opponents and won't be viewed as bad. And if they win any, they'll need money to travel to nationals, so don't waste it going to Florida.

Losers - Florida State, for being dropped by Colorado. At #16 they know they are on the bubble. They play more SELC teams, UCSB, and BC Northeastern for the rest of the season. More SELC wins won't bump them above #12. UCSB is T7 and a win there would be great, a close loss won't help because UCSB never beats anyone by alot. Beating Northeastern won't help. Beating BC won't help, because if BC is out of the T16 and FSU is #16 and not the SELC AQ at the end of the year, they get bumped by BC on their potential PCLL AQ. So losing Colorado means losing an OOC competitor ranked similarly, fighting for an at-large bid as well (this could also go under Winner - Colorado)

Winners - The SELC, because they apparently have 4-5 teams that can all compete at the T12-16 area - Georgia, FSU, Virginia Tech, Florida, and Central Florida. A few weeks back, a follower of the SELC PM'd me and told me to watch Central Florida. Usually I ignore these because they come with little substance, but this informer gave specific reasons including the fact Central was closer to the high school lacrosse hot beds, organized coaching staff, good senior leadership. The increase in talent will make their conference tournament more important and allow more indirect comparisons.

Losers - The SELC, because they have 4-5 teams that are all chipping away at each other. This scenario could mean they will beat each other out of an at-large bid, and could put their AQ as low as 15 or 16 seed in the tournament with an incredibly large task awaiting them on the first day.

I think the GRLC lost a ton for the upcoming poll. With Lindenwood losing by a significant margin to SFU, a team who was ranked well behind them, I think the Lions will probably fall into the 20s. Couple that with Illinois not having a real quality win yet, and the entire conference looks a bit sub-par compared to the rest of the league

Could not be a truer statement. As much as I don't like SFU, them doing well helps the PNCLL and makes it look better. As long as the "right" team wins that match up, they can be#2 for all I care

I think this is a big deal. Besides the poll (ergo tournament) impact, who's to say that the team cancelled on didn't have a big event planned surrounding that game. Alums, boosters, benefactors invited. Now you have to tap dance and find a new opponent, change your event's date? Anyone see Michigan looking for a game in the competition forum, hmmmm......

It's a big trip and it costs a lot of money. Don't you think that you'd make every effort to schedule ONE more game. Ask your host to get another good team to come in (c'mon, Colorado would be a great draw). There was a serious error in planning and now it's quite possible someone's gonna get screwed.

Of course the cancellation by UCLA looks real bad (first time they have ever canceled a trip like this) for the Bruins, but the Colorado thing has serious National Championship implications for both teams involved and hurts Florida State the most if they do not win the conference.
I thought it was very odd to schedule such a costly trip for only one game.

I just don't understand how UMD can be rated over Oregon & UCSB at this point. Oregon is undefeated and UCSB has beaten everyone except BYU. What has a 2 loss team like UMD done to rate them over these 2 teams?
