Pollster's voting should be made public

There are 40 individual pollsters in the Div 1 poll. It would be interesting to make their voting information public on the forums for the following reasons:

1. Being a pollster is a difficult job. If their individual polls were posted, it would allow for discussion and would provide valuable feedback from forum members. An example of this is on the “Who is your top 5” topic where Gary Podesta posted his top 5 and got some useful feedback from DG and CATLAX MAN regarding his top 5 choices.

2. Pollsters could compare their results to others to determine discrepancies, or to clarify the process. There could be a rating system to see which pollster is the most accurate or consistent.

3. If this information were public, it would reduce the possibility of any pollster giving their individual team an undeserved higher ranking.

I’m not calling into question the professionalism or integrity of the pollsters – I merely think the information should be public and open to discussion. It would be interesting to hear the thought process of the pollsters, and they in turn could use this feedback to help them do their job more effectively. This could even be done anonymously, giving the pollsters numbers 1-40.

If it does happen, it should be after the season is over like what is done for NCAA basketball or football.
