2008 Lax World MCLA Division 1 Top 25 Poll (4/30/08) is out!
The way I see it, the only teams ahead of BC that have the potential of a big upset in their conference tourneys are Texas A&M or Simon Fraser. UCSB and Sonoma already lost to higher ranked teams and won't fall far, if at all; CSU and BYU are both ranked top 10 so whoever loses that game won't drop too much. Same goes for Chapman and ASU (It might be a bad idea, but I'm going to assume that ASU handles Chico). Duluth was granted the AQ, and the SELC tourney is over, so those teams arent going anywhere. I guess there is the potential of a monster upset in the CCLA, but even if Michigan loses to an unranked team in their tourney, they won't drop out of the top 10. So, best case scenario for BC, they won't get any higher than 12.

Both teams have tremendous talent on offense and improved defenses from previous years... I think i would give Chapman the edge at the goalie position however not by much.
Game on tomorrow...
Look forward to it. Should be a great one. I haven't heard an update on Tyler Westfall being injured today or not. Somebody posted that on the WCLL game today. Could be an issue.

Really? Didn't most of those teams travel to them?

I think he's saying they made sure that they played west coast teams this year.

Does anyone forsee any changes in polls this week?
Looks like conference tourneys pretty much went to form.
Oregon and Florida are nervous.
Here's my guess at seedings in Dallas:
1. Michigan - still rolling through CCLA
2. Chapman - very impressive in WCLL, worthy of #1.
3. Duluth - did not play
4. BYU - beat CSU again, but still has losses to bigger boys
5. SFU - Can't argue.
6. ASU - Good season, but 8-goal vs. Chapman this weekend
7. Sonoma - Good performance vs. Chapman and win over CSU
8. CSU
9. Georgia
10. UCSB
11. Va. Tech
12. Boston College - Slightly more impressive schedule than A&M
13. FSU
14. Texas A&M
15. Florida
16. Lindenwood - in by AQ
A very compelling tournament.

I guess i've never paid attention to this - but do the AQ's get the first top 8 spots?
Kind of like in the NHL or NBA, you win your division and you get a top spot regardless of how well you actually did?
