Voters missing Final Top 25 Poll Vote!

12 is alot. How many voters miss the polls on average each time I wonder. This one is by far the most important one though, its hard to argue against that

You've neglected the B division, where Southwestern fell only 15 points short of Calvin for the last at-large spot. I'm not suggesting Calvin doesn't belong in the tourney, I just know if I was playing at Southwestern I might feel "robbed." The A division is much cleaner, as you noted.

Well now that Calvin is out and Southwestern is in, this casualty of the low vote turnout has been negated.

Maybe we should make public whether we voted or not? Take Jim Tressel as the example. When he made the decision not to vote in the final coaches poll it was all over the news.

The final regular-season NCAA college football coaches ballots are now public information. I wouldn't have a problem with my votes being made public. I have confidence in my voting and I certainly wouldn't mind people knowing how I voted, or at least that I did vote. Especially if it results in 100% participation from now on.

I also understand that things come up and we can't vote. I actually missed one vote this year and it was out of stupidity. I had the damn thing written out on my desk and I missed the deadline. The final vote is a big one though and it really needs to have all 40 on-board. Even if all 16 A teams and 12 B teams stayed the same, it still might influence who draws who in that first game, or whether a B team draws a bye in the first round.

I'm with Ryan on this one. I missed one or two during the season because of my stupidity or 1) forgetting that east coast is an hour ahead of central time 2) having it sitting next to my computer (my finished poll) and just forgetting to do it.

But you had better believe that I made damn sure that I dropped everything else going on, like getting ready for our banquet, and got my poll in for the final poll.

Like Ryan I would be ok with my poll being revealed.

Moot point for this year and it looks like there is going to be some great match-ups throughout the brackets. If most of the pollsters don't mind making their polls public how hard would that be. Maybe the voters would make sure that they voted, if everyone was held accountable. Also if a team turns down an at large and their whole conference is held accountable, why wouldn't a voter that did not vote not be held accountable for their non actions. (suspension for a year) IMO

After rereading my last post, i must amend it. I assumed that there were no rules to the voters about participation. (u know the old adage about assuming) I believe I should have been asking Sonny if there were, in fact, rules and guidelines that take nonvoting into account. If there are what are they and what are the consequences.
