I believe its at 3:30 Mountain time on BYU tv.

I'm all over that game...it should be a great one. Doug will have the Cossacks...er...Seawolves ready to play.

I'm hoping BYU can shake off Saturday's loss and put in a good performance.

Noma, are you in RP?

I guess the >20 ranked teams are pretty much out of the hunt for nationals, unless they upset someone in their league playoffs.

Yeah Cal should definitely be on their way to the Top 25. They have had some solid wins over UCLA, Chico, and Texas A&M

Also, LMU should have a shot as well. Looking at what they have done the second half of this season, they definitely deserve some recognition....

Kojima wrote:disappointing loss for the lions but that doesn't take away from the season and progress they made this year. the young team - 2 srs, 6 jrs, 13 soph, 15 fresh - put together 5 straight wins including a defeat over ranked chapman before dropping this last contest vs. ucla. knowing the character of the guys i coached, i fully expect this team to be back next year and a major threat to be at nationals. congrats to the guys on a great year and exciting run at playoffs. steve k

(from the Live game reports)

Being two goals away from making the playoffs is HUGE for ANY team after starting off 1-6. Especially playing in the same division as #4 UCSB, #20 Chapman, and #22 UCLA.
Not to mention, their only losses all season are to teams that are still alive in the playoffs.

and all of this with only TWO seniors! and from the looks of it, most of their production is coming from their freshman and sophomores. I saw them play at the beginning of the season against UCSD and then saw their last few games, and there is definitely a noticeable difference. Once these younger guys got some well-needed experience it was like night and day. They are definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with in the near future!!!

heir win against USC is nothing to write home about. Claremont did that same thing as well.

They did win 16-3. Several ranked WCLL teams could not match this scoring output.

I love the WCLL, take care of your own. UCSD should fall to 10 or lower. They are not an elite team if they are going to drop those kind of games (ASU, USD). I still think that they make the tourney, but they should not be in the top half of the braket.

Pete-
UCSD has lost 4 games, all season. Sonoma, ASU, USD and Michigan. All the losses were by one goal except Michigan. They have the #4 SOS on laxpower. This is one of the top teams in the MDIA.
Everyone on this board protects their own and you, Pete, are just as guilty as those you accuse.

I dont come on here and try and influence the vote for my team. I am sorry that you feel that i am here protecting my own. I haven't made excuses for the losses of BYU, and I never will. I was at the game on Sat when BYU lost to CU. Instead of saying that BYU deserves to be in front of CU because they beat CSU, i put them where i feel they should be. I do not let my relationship with my team influence the truth. I am sorry that people feel that they need to change the truth for thier teams, but i will not be part of it. If you come onto these boards to make your team look better, then you need to stay off. Now if you can find something on here that conflicts with what i have just said, then I will say whatever you want during the game on Wednesday. But you wont. BYU is fine without me protecting them.

This is the way I'd rank them.

1. Michigan
2. CSU
3. Colorado
4. BYU
5. Sonoma
6. UCSB
7. FSU
8. Cal Poly
9. Oregon
10. UCSD
11. Utah
12. Arizona

No, what you do is denegrate the teams that are close rivals of your team. What you do is to accuse people who support their team of being untruthful and twisting the facts because they are "protecting their own". But, when you denegrate their team, you are being honest.
You may think that you are unbiased but you're not. You're just the same as everyone else.
You have a mock poll that drops UCSD 7 poll spots for a 1 goal loss to the #1 B team in the country.
You have a mock poll that moves Utah up 5 poll spots for a 1 goal win over Sonoma St. at home.
Whose protecting their own?

You're right, Sonny. Sorry, Pete. I usually agree with you, but got a little carried away this time. We all try to be honest on the board. I know I try and I'm sure that you do as well. Sometimes there are honest differences of opinion.

Catlaxman-
I can't see putting Colorado ahead of UCSB after their 8 goal loss recently.
I also don't agree with such a huge drop for UCSD. And why does everyone dis Arizona. They are playing great right now. You have them dropping one spot after beating UCSB and ASU. I also don't see Sonoma dropping 3 spots for a one goal loss on the road when CSU only drops 1 spot for their 3 goal loss at a neutral site. And what did Florida St do to deserve a 2 spot bump?

This seems to be a very difficult poll because every team has now suffered at least one late season upset loss. Except Michigan.

Late season loss Danny. Michigan's loss to BYU was their first MDIA game of the year back in February.

I am not moving the teams off of the real poll. I am moving them off the way that I have been ranking them in the Message Board poll. Despite Colorado's loss to UCSB, I think they have been playing better than them of late as evidenced with their win over BYU and SB's loss to AZ. I don't think a 3 position drop for Sonoma was too much for a loss to a team out of the Top 10. Other teams suffered a drop like that for similar losses. UCSD is in a similar position. Despite the quality of USD, if they played a Div. A schedule, they would not be a top 10 team. I consider it to be like a loss to a much lower ranked team. CSU lost to a BYU team that is getting much better as the season goes on and will probably be rated much higher in this poll. I didn't drop them as much because of that. In my ranking, AZ got a bump up of 2 or 3 spots.
