That is another helpful result for pollsters to use, thanks lincoln02. The CCLA has another interesting one:

#26 Carnegie Mellon beat #34 Grove City 13-12
This win for CMU nearly secures them into the 4-team CCLA play-offs with a 3w-1l south region record with two impressive 1 goal wins over two very respectable teams.

Not until this past week or so have we really begun to get representational results for this national poll.

Not a big deal, but I'd propose that for next year's Division B voting the early March vote be dropped and the schedule look more like the following:

February 21st
March 21st
April 4th
April 18th
April 30th

Are you predicting an upset "thedude"?

Just a tight game. Who knows what this UNC squad could pull out. We have another game in between that could help the morale and polish some rough edges.

The at-large bids for the B division are going to be very interesting. . .it's obvious one of the 3 is going to either Claremont or San Diego. . .and right now it looks as if 2nd place in the RMLC (UNC or MSU?) and UMLL (SJU vs. St. T) have the inside track at this point for the other two spots. . .

It looks like there are going to be some really good teams on the outside looking in this year. . .but I guess all those teams have to do is pull off an upset and win their conference tourney.

It will get really messy if one of those top teams stumbles and a "cinderella" sneaks in, stealing a spot from one of the at large hopefulls. . .it should be exciting down the stretch.

say elon or eckard wins out the regular season (making either one undefeated) but loses in the conference finals they would be kept out so a team from the UMLL can go? Even though there are currently 4 ranked teams in the SELC, and 2 in the UMLL. (no disrepect to UMLL i havent seen any of them play) I am just trying to see how this will all play out.

If I remember correctly none of the SELC teams had OOC games scheduled. If they don't win their conference then they won't qualify for the at-large bids. I believe only teams that have played 3 OOC games can qualify for those.

Only 2 OOC games are required for B Division teams for an at-large bid.

I actually laughed out loud when i read this post. The UMLL has two of the best b Div teams in the country with SJU and UST. They have proved this by playing OOC games and winning them. (UST beat #9 Calvin, and Dordt- SJU beat #1 USD, #23 UC-Irvine, and lost by 1 goal to #2 Claremount). no disrespect to the SELC teams but to be recognized nationally or At-large you NEED to play OOC opponents it is the state the league is at.

UST beat #9 Calvin

I thought that was a pre-season scrimmage at Northern Michigan without COC referees or full-length game. Can someone please clarify?

There is no issue with that OOC game, it was the game where St. Thomas lost to Northern Michigan 0-6 that was considered a scrimmage by St. Thomas. Anyone got that dead horse award for me on this one?

what are the big Div. B games this weekend? I know this is going to be a pretty interesting weekend for the poles, but which are considered the big games?

It should be pretty interesting for the Czechs and the Russians too.

The tournament in Northern mighigan was sanctioned OOC games for Calvin and Ferris State. the other games NMU and Eu Claire were played running time and we played our 3's and 4's so they could get some playing time, in what I would consider a scrimmage. NMU is not a sanctioned team. When I contacted the teams, this was the understanding.

Southwestern going up to Harding this weekend is probably going to be a good match. Having seen the Bucs play twice this year and watching some of the top B teams out in Cali earlier this season, I think Southwestern is playing some good lacrosse. Good opportunity for Southwestern to move up in the polls if they can pull two wins on the road.
