Yeah, they beat Pitt, but maybe Pitt is not that great. I think what Davenport and Grand Canyon have done this season warrants a higher ranking. Also, did you make this poll before Davenport beat Simon Fraser? Maybe you are just going for an overall approach rather than the "what have you done for me lately" approach that I take.
Agree about BC, Cal, SSU, and Oregon.
I did realize GT lost. I knocked them down a few spots. I think Pitt is right where they belong. They would likely beat the teams below (sans Northeastern) them and have been competitive with all of the top teams they have faced, hence why they stayed where they are and where GT is.
Simon Fraser & Davenport are definitely season approaches. Both teams are showing they belong in that top 20 discussion. Both have some tough losses, but good wins.
I am trying very hard to move people around to fit it as a "whole body of work" as opposed to riding an early or late win to a high ranking. I keep statistics on teams in terms of Top 25 wins / losses, OOC wins / losses, GAA, GPG, etc. This helps me see how and where teams belong in addition to the "gut" factor.
