Their point totals are very close. UCSB went 1-1 since the last poll. Also, Sonoma crushed Oregon who was considered a good team and beat Cal. So i think they counted those as quality wins.

Fun fact of the day: Not including BYU and Michigan, Michigan State has not lost to any team by more then one goal in the last two years. Talk about woulda coulda shoulda...

They haven't played anyone any good in the last two years besides Michigan and BYU. What's your point?

I don't get it. There are actually people that vote on these things?

Unless Sonoma or UCSB win the WCLL they are gonna stay around their current ranking, and no matter who is #8 or #9 they are still gonna have to play each other in the first round.

ouch. i know florida, illinois, and utah are no byu or michigan. but i still consider them good. and at the time of the florida loss last year, and the utah loss this year, state was ranked around 20, give or take a couple spots. getting those losses counted as wins puts them in the discussion of an at-large bid. (im not saying deserving, just saying their in the talk.) plus, getting the utah and illinois games as wins this year would have given them 3 wins over currently ranked opponents that would make a big difference this year, considering teams ranked as high as say, 17th, only have 1 win over a ranked team, and have lost to one of the teams mentioned.

but, in the end, i just thought it was a fun fact. and, as so many on the forum like to point out, a loss is a loss, so it doesnt really matter. just seems like a good kick in the behind could get the team to the next level, cause they seem pretty close.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm excited to see Texas A&M break into the top 15.

They've played some good teams this year, but don't really have any impressive wins. I guess that Santa Clara win is looking better and better though. I still see them as a 15 seed, and Lindenwood (who actually beat TAMU) as the 16.

(Assuming the Ducks lose this weekend to BYU) - Oregon, Texas A&M, and Lindenwood all have to win their conference AQ to get to Dallas. The LSA conference rep and the GRLC conference AQ will be th 15th and 16th seeds regardless.

Florida will be the final at-large bid, assuming there are no upsets in the conference tourney like Michigan or Boston College losing the CCLA or PCLL championships.

Just to add another wrinkle to the Top 16.....BC losses tonight to unranked BU in PCLL action. That does not help the Gators chances.

BC now has no margin for error. They have to win the PCLL to get to Dallas as they likely will drop to the 15 - 20 range in the next poll.

The Gators should be still safe if Michigan wins out in the CCLA, Duluth wins the UMLL, Simon Fraser wins out in the PNCLL, and the WCLL has one of their top 10 teams (Chapman, ASU, UCSB, Noma) taking their title.

I feel BC had to win the PCLL tournament to get in regardless of tonight's loss.

How is Florida safe?

this is a very bad loss for bc for obvious reasons. my question, however (outside of playoff play - meaning if there were no games before the next poll), is how does this affect the movement of florida and florida state in the polls. both of these teams lost to bc, and for a while now we have heard supporters say the selc is strong, but after this loss by bc and the selc teams they played... the domino effect would suggest that georgia is the only real tournament worthy team coming out of that region. i know i'm implying a case of a beat b beat c lost to a, but my question is: does bc losing drop uf and fsu down as of this moment?

I can't wait for people to chime-in that BU is "under the radar" and a potential top 15 team.
