They haven't played anyone any good in the last two years besides Michigan and BYU. What's your point?
ouch. i know florida, illinois, and utah are no byu or michigan. but i still consider them good. and at the time of the florida loss last year, and the utah loss this year, state was ranked around 20, give or take a couple spots. getting those losses counted as wins puts them in the discussion of an at-large bid. (im not saying deserving, just saying their in the talk.) plus, getting the utah and illinois games as wins this year would have given them 3 wins over currently ranked opponents that would make a big difference this year, considering teams ranked as high as say, 17th, only have 1 win over a ranked team, and have lost to one of the teams mentioned.
but, in the end, i just thought it was a fun fact. and, as so many on the forum like to point out, a loss is a loss, so it doesnt really matter. just seems like a good kick in the behind could get the team to the next level, cause they seem pretty close.
