Branden, WWU replaced linfield in Montana. The linfield program folded...
WWU lost by 1 to MSU, there is a live action game report
WWU beat UVSC as well the next day.
The following day, UVSC beat MSU 13-7 (top of my head).
4/4/07 Division B poll is out!

though I cant talk about the teams that Dayton has played this year...im starting to wonder if the growth of lacrosse in Ohio has finally trickled down to them (Miami, Ohio U, some of the other MCLA squads have already benefited in the past) - considering Dayton is a private school, I wouldnt be surprised that they have some highly skilled players from a traditional lax hotbed.....
Now onto St. Thomas...game vs. the Univ. of Minnesota might be moved indoors tonite, due to weather, and if it is, I'll try to do a live game update if there is a signal at that facility...
should be a great game...

Thanks for the info....I was just looking at the web...

I think that playing dayton in fall ball is a little different, for example: we played metro state university in the fall and they were very good, they are not even a mcla team. i am not saying that dayton is not good or not worthy, i would have just liked them to travel and play some teams that we have seen. I hope that they make it to dallas, i am interested to see what they got

Was Dayton's win over Purdue that impressive that it convinced someone that they are the best team in the country? I know they're good, but THEY DON'T PLAY A SINGLE TEAM IN THE TOP-25 this year. . .
If you look at Dayton's schedule that had an early season game scheduled with Oakland, a pre-season top 20 in the A Polls and defending CCLA-A Division Champion - unfortunately it was cancelled due to weather. For a top 25 matchup, look to April 14 Dayton @ Carnegie Mellon, it should be a great game.

my eyes are on the game between #11 Montana and #14 SOU this weekend.
SOU is rested after a much needed 2 week break and Montana is coming off a rough weekend at home.
should be a good ol' fashioned grudge match with both teams having something to prove.

It's unfortunate, but also understandable. . .hopefully by the time the next poll comes out every voter will know that WWU beat UVSC. . .
And I didn't see Dayton vs. CM on the schedule. . .it will be good to see how that game turns out. It's hard to judge Dayton when they aren't being challenged by good teams. . .the way, for example, that Westminster has been challenged by good teams. . .and not only have they beat several good teams, they have beat them comfortably in most cases. But unless Dayton adds another OOC game, I guess it's irrelevant. Win the CCLA and go to the tourney. . .They can prove their mettle in Texas.
Like I've said before, Westminster's body of work is far more impressive than any B team in the MCLA. They have earned my #1 vote. . .
they beat #9 Western Washington 15-9
they beat #7 Northern Colorado 20-12
they beat #10 Montana State 16-6
they beat #12 Fort Lewis 15-13
Their only losses are to NDNU and A-division ranked UC Davis. Their schedule is brutal, and they've beat 4 teams in the top 12. Fort Lewis is the only team that even played them close.

I would hope none. Voters have a duty to do their research and make knowledgeable selections.

we have played both st johns and westminster and they are both for real. very smooth teams that are coached very well. it is hard for me to think that dayton can play with those teams, at nationals after not playing any hard ooc games

As voters we do a ton of research. . .but if you use collegelax.us and laxpower.com to collect your information. . .or even the pncll.com and rmlax.com websites, the information was either incorrect of incomplete at those sites.
I have faith that the voters are doing their homework, but in this case I think it would have been easy to miss the results of that particular game.

thanks for the recognition dr. stockton. i feel we are getting better every week. i'm glad you stated those points so i didn't need to. tooting one's horn isn't the classiest thing. i believe you're just giving us credit where credit's due.
oh and to clarify uc davis is not ranked. humilty is key to being classy, as well. and they sure humbled us. (yes humbled is a word i looked it up, doesn't sound right though)
i just think it's interesting how the point totals for the top three hasn't changed since last poll.
next friday will be a big game to throw those totals off a bit. as #1 plays #2 and on the 18th #3 plays #4. starting to get into crunch time.

No offense to the voters but the B poll always seems to be less informed and more influenced by the "buzz" of a team that did well or that is on the up and up. It seems as though some of those losses... UVSC dropping a game to WWU... and such seem to go under the radar because of the teams previous ranking, SOS and reputation.
Falsehoods are well-told, so think for yourself...
