Correct me if I'm wrong but these preseason polls, while having some to do with last years season and nationals, are more of a prediction on how the team will be this coming year in terms of recruits, graduated players, and other factors.

not to be rude to those supporting and arguing for their respective teams, but polls dont mean a thing, ESPECIALLY one made over a month before the start of the season.

Just looking at the poll, and using last year's jumble of closely comparable teams, I would say that this poll is in for a large shake-up. Not to even suggest that there is anything wrong with it, or that team A needs to be higher or lower... etc., but my guess would be that the higher ranked teams (top 5-6) are going to move less (as they have historically) and the rest will be fairly open to movement.

As has been said, wait until it's a poll that has information from "this year" before we try to pick it apart- or better yet... don't pick it apart. Make a sandwich.

Is it just me or does FSU seem a little overated at #9 after this weeks game with Georgia? From what I hear they were losing almost the entire game and barely pulled it off in the end (12-11).

True and I give UGA credit but I think I will go with the first one because it seems as if FSU was a little overated last year as well...

I'm sure that a lot of the poll voters would prefer that every game be resolved by more than one goal, as a season of OT games would make ranking impossible.
