1st off, there are still a lot of games to be played, and assuming that us and Montana St. are going to be undefeated by conference time doesn't say much for what you think of your team and the others that will play us and montana st. 2nd, there will not be 2 undefeated teams in the end, thats why we have conference championships.
pre-season games are interesting. Every team is so different than they were in the pre-season, its hard to get anything from that, but thats all we have to go off of. 5 of our "starters" this spring were not here in the fall, and we lost some big guys that were here. The same can be said for every team in D-B.

I want to throw my hat in for App State for Top 5 in Div B. Good program with wins over us, Wake Forest (Div A) and Davidson.

App State is #5 in the new poll. Seems like lots of love from the pollsters...

Shows our pollsters are doing their homework. App State is very deserving of the #5 ranking. Should be an interesting SELC tournament in Atlanta.

i think app state shouldn't have much trouble getting the win over emory, although it is still a big game since getting the win there will most likely give them an undefeated season. regardless, this year's selc-b playoffs are going to be very interesting.

I have to think that the biggest game is going to be San Diego and Claremont, basically hands down.
Both teams are undefeated in B division, and you're looking at the winner going to nationals and the loser not, since there will be no AL bids for B div.
#3 vs #1? gonna be a good game.

well this game actually means little in the grand scheme of things... both teams have already clinched playoffs spots. Since the WCLL B playoffs only features two teams, Claremont will be facing USD a second time in a couple of weeks in the B championship game. As previously mentioned... since only the division winners go to the national tournament, the winner of the second game will go to Blaine regardless of the outcome of this first game. The second game will be held at a neutral site in nor cal, so this game isn't even for home field advantage.

Wouldn't you guess the winner would have a psychological advantage at least for the second game? It has to plant a seed of doubt to the losing team.

It may not effect the playoffs, but playing the #1 or #3 team.... You have to get up for that game. You should hate those guys, and want to prove that you're the best.....

i was just trying to point out that the winner of the game this sat does not go to nationals, it is the winner of the second game.
i have no doubt that both teams want to win this game and will come out fired up ... it will only further fuel the rivalry between the two teams before we meet again in a couple of weeks

I stand corrected-
I glanced at the WCLL playoff page to check when I made the original post, but didn't see anything. Upon re-checking the page, the information about the B division is included as a sub-point on the category for A Division finals. Way to tack them on...
