#13 UPS defeated cross-town rival PLU today. . .I think the score was 14-5, but I could be wrong. UPS finishes the season 8-1 with their only loss being to Western Oregon, who won again last night over Willamette. . .

No. 16 Creighton - 6
No. 22 Metro State - 13
Final
Both teams came out slow in the 1st quarter. Tumbleweeds were everywhere as the wind in north Denver was out of control. A close second quarter was played resulting in a tie at 5 at the half. Metro goaltender Blair Beougher played a heckuva game and the D turned it on to hold the Jays to 1 in the second half. A pretty clean game and a solid win for Metro.
Best of luck to both Mines and Creighton as the Jays travel to Golden this evening for part two of a double header.

Looks like the placement of Grand Valley St. as #4 and St. Johns as #5 is correct after seeing the score of the St. Johns - UWEC game as compared to the the score of the Grand Valley - UWEC game. Great job pollsters!

Dayton 35 RHIT 2? That seems a little much even against a low level team. Noticed Jehling still had 8 points and a few other starters had quite a few points. Why wouldn't you rest some of your starters for the game? Anyone have any insight as to why any team would put up 35 points?? I can't beleive it.

I think asking for insight on a 33 goal win is a bit of an oxymoron.
Maybe they just really wanted to establish dominance.
Let's be honest, most teams would have called the dogs off. It's beyond gratuitous.

Yeah most teams. GVSU was up 18 at half on Rose Hulman and GVSU decided to let everyone touch the ball. I guess Dayton doesnt have the same philosophy. Also that SJU and UWEC game is very intriguing.

Assuming UST and SJU played hard both of their scores vs UWEC dont compare to GVSU. But i guess things will settle themselves out. Just a bit scary with only 4 AL bids... i still dont understand the rationalization of CCLA hurting because of calvin but its too late for that.

I'm no official source, but based on the box scores and who notched and who didn't I would say both SJU and UST either didn't play some of their guys or limited them.
I would be shocked if UWEC could have held Strauss from SJU pointless. Same with many of the UST guys. I know for a fact that UST started a goalie for his first appearance of the year vs. UWEC.
I do think comparing a GVSU score vs. UWEC from several weeks ago to scores coming in leading up to the conf tournament with seeds already pretty apparent may not be the best way to look at things, but everyone has their methods.
