I clicked the link in the news story that said it would take me to info about watching games on BYUtv, but it gives me an error message.
Can you watch these games on the web? That would be very cool. Unfortunately I will be unavailable tonight but I'd love to see how it looks on line.

Link error in the release should be corrected now. Yes, you can watch the games on the web if you have hi-speed access.

I only have one question. How does CSU not get all 30 1st place votes? I know Flip probably didn't vote for his team because he has stated in the past that he doesn't like to. Seems to me that it should've been a slam dunk for CSU.

The best thing you can do in this league is lose. You lose you move up. Pittsburgh was left out last one, lost to Oakland in OT, now they are in at 6-1 tied with a Simon Fraser team that is 1-4 in it's last 5.

playing oakland tough was the most noteworthy thing pitt has done this year, i'm not surprised they moved up.

8-25 are a crap shoot and Oregon and CP moved up because of teams dropping below them dueto losses, but i guess their losses don't get them moved anywhere on those same ballots.

Really, what's the justification for New Hampshire being in last poll at 3-0, beating 3 teams having down years. Pittsburgh was 6-0 and omitted. When 10-16 all lose...then 17-23 move up...yes it means you can fall from 10-21 with one loss if every one behind wins. That's what makes an accurate poll. Sorry, went against my last post but had to point that out.

we are on the same page. being anywhere 20+ in the poll and not reminding people week to week how good you are can get you forgotten rather quickly (which sucks).

The thing is, if your a pollster. You shouldn't even look at these boards, just the scores, not even the league polls (except the pre-season, but you don't have to stick with it, it gives you a starting base)and go from there. Again, I'll stress my point that only Head Coaches from every team should be the voters, no one else.

Perhaps we should make Lindenwood & Pittsburgh #1 & #2 to satisfy Laxguru.

Obviously, as you've done nothing but complain about the polls (who knows how long), you simply don't understand how they are compiled and how individuals make their own polls. Yes, everyone has an area that they are more comfortable with, but your's may be a little bit to narrow. I'm sure Pitt is an excellent team, but it's very tough after the second poll for a team to jump high into the rankings. Everyone forms their own polls, and moves teams around according to wins, losses and close games. The second poll is easier for a voter to make a big move, because more OOC games are taking place and games being played, hence Lindenwood's move.

NO team is likely to beam into the top 10 now. If they continue to play well, and their opponents also play well, they can move up. Or they can toss a game on the schedule with CSU, and see if they can get some first place votes. If you don't like it and or disagree with it, great, you're entitled to your opinion. Typically for people to 100% respect your opinion, it needs to be backed up, or reasonable in the global scope of things. If you keep stressing about it the way you are, it looks like an aneurysm may be on its way. It's just a poll, the only thing that matters is still the W/L. I'm not trying to attack you, but it seems like it really bugs you. You don't have control over it, and you should notice that there aren't 100 people actively letting us know how upset they are about it. Good luck.

They are examples, of two differnt situations. I not once argued to get either in to the top 10 or even 15, but claiming 10-25 "a toss-up" every time is just an excuse for either 1) bias 2.) lack of knowledge 3.) lack of research.

While I thank you for your concern about my health, I'm not nearly fired up, just looking for reasons and accountability? You can't offer it and only throw insults and sarcasm at me, fine. I'm a big boy, won't effect me. Maybe, like yousaid, i'm the only one who sees it, oh well, be happy with the flawed system then.

How's mine too narrow? I take the pre-season poll, when you lose you fall, who you lose to determines how far. You win in the same stretch, then who did you beat and does that justify not falling as far? Very simple, how most polls are done. What I don't do, and maybe I should do is look to justify teams that are always in the poll reasons to move up or stay the same when logic says they shouldn't.

It is unrealistic to think that every Head MDIA Coach in the country can or would vote in the poll.

I suggest you step away from the keyboard for a little while LaxGuru. Take a breather. Friendly suggestion from the webmaster.
