Wow... figuring out the SELC D1 hierarchy at this point is as confusing as sorting out our own mess in the PNCLL's D2.

i say that CSU and UMD should be #1 and #2 just for the sake that they play this weekend and it is always cool to see a 1 v 2 game. however i am not sure that will happen since CSU lost to CC this weekend......

CSU's loss to CC should not count against them in the polls since this was a game against an NCAA DIII team.

I always thought that was true as well, but in a thread last year we had this same conversation. JP definitely said that he figures the games vs. non-MCLA opponents in to his rankings. I guess the trick is to make sure that if you think you can win, make it a game. Otherwise, make it a scrimmage. Or you can do what the DIII teams do, which is call it a game until you lose...then call it a scrimmage

Every voter has their own opinion on this, but in my opinion, a game against an NCAA team should only help you if you make a strong showing (close loss in a competitive game or a win against a good team). It should never hurt you to lose against an NCAA team. Then again, I am not a voter, so my opinion doesn't really mean that much (not that it ever did  ).
