I understand the reasoning behind revealing the individual voting results- there clearly is an opportunity for a voter to vastly sway the results of a vote.
I think before something like that happens, though, there are a few things that need to be considered:
1) If someone votes irregularly, what action is taken? Do you dismiss all of their ballot?
2) Is there going to be some determining factor as to what is a vote "too far from the group?"
3) Is this just going to subject people who volunteer to vote to undue criticism? I mean, last season I picked games for the week and I got flak PM's about not picking certain games on a weekly basis- I can't imagine it would be much better for something that actually mattered.
It seems to me that this is a can of worms that shouldn't be opened. I hate worms. I think the solution is trusting in the people who volunteer for the polls. I understand action when it comes to extreme cases (like one team voting a clear #1 as a #25, but I would guess this situation hasn't come up).
It's a flawed system, but it is a functioning system. The bubble is a crappy place to be. The way out of the bubble is either winning more or losing more, not changing the voting system.
I understand the added benefits of accountability, but I think it's important to also consider the costs.
