i saw him earlier this year and thought he was crazy huge, but he is so un-athletic, i can't imagine him translating into an NBA player.

Yea, this guy got a lot of talk a few years ago. They thought maybe some majors would pick him up for the just because factor. Finally landed at the Hill.

Hes always got a spot available on the Timberwolves. Ill talk to some of the higher ups at the Target Center and see if I can persuade them.

The guy should be exhibit "A" for advocates who argue that the basket needs to be raised to 11 feet. He can grab the rim with both hands while standing flat-footed.

He may be tall but he can barely run down the court without being super winded.

Are you refering to Kenny George or Tyler Hansbrough in this quote? I think it applies to both of them.

I think its great that King George can touch the square on the glass without even trying.

jessexy- hansbrough is easily one of the most athletic, fluid 6'10" player I have ever seen. His ability to ball handle/shoot/rebound/defend/etc. make him one of the best players in the NCAA, and probably will be one of the better players if he gets to the NBA. He isnt one dimensional like many of the other pf/c in the collegiate game

Really? Who's he going to defend? Josh Howard, Tim Duncan, Rasheed Wallace, Elton Brand, Amare Stoudemire Paul Pierce...name one PF in the NBA Hansborough could handle. Hansborough might be a poor man's Luke Walton but that's about it.

Hansborough is like Emeka Okafor on a good day but more likely will be Josh McRoberts with a degree, a nice college player that will be a stiff in the NBA. Only an idiot drafts him before the second round so MJ will probably take him early.

Tyler Hansbrough = Great college player, but lifetime 11th/12th player on the roster in the NBA, if that.

Doesn't sound like a bad career. You never have to worry about getting injured

Absolutely, I'd take a couple of mil to NOT play basketball. Plus, you get great seats for 82 NBA games a year. To take this thread further on a tangent, I highly recommend a book by Paul Shirley called "Can I Keep My Jersey?". It chronicles his efforts to play professional basketball in a variety of leagues around the world, including the NBA. Highly entertaining.
