I think the liberal media is blowing this situation out of proportion. Duane is a family man who has strong values. He was just disappointed in his son's choice of mate. I am sure if his son's girlfriend was white he would have called her the same names. Shame on CNN and the left-wing blogs for tearing this man down. Duane is the epitome of the American Dream.

The root reason people speak slurs is to be disrespectful in the most hurtful way possible to the person on the receiving end. Dog was saying the one word that would hurt the most. Same thing with Michael Richards and his rants against hecklers, or Mel Gibson talking to the cop, or some of the bigoted things people used to say about JFK's catholicism.

Which people get forgiven? And which ones get condemned? It's hard to draw the line. I love Dog's show, it's sort of like "Cops" taken to a whole 'nother whacky level. Maybe his Daughter in Law is Lady MacBeth personified and she deserves to be insulted - but he could have called her Lady MacBeth instead of using the N-bomb.

What a burn-out trainwreck of a person. I can't believe a guy like that is on tv (Was on tv).

I watched Duane on Hannity and Colmes the other day and I was very touched.

Some of Duane's comments:

1. “I thought that I was cool enough in the black world to be able to use that word as a brother to a brother. I’m not. I didn’t really know until three or four days ago what that meant to black people.”

2. “There’s a special connection that I thought I had between me and black America. And I used to say, ‘I’m black, too.’

3. “I now learned I’m not black at all."

4. "I vow to be buried among slaves in umarked graves near George Washington’s home in Mount Vernon."

I would also like to add that Mr. Hannity made a good point. He posed the question: “Is the “n” word… is that the same as just any other curse?” Interesting view.

What I think is funny is that people are surprised he would act like that.
Barry Badrinath: Oh man, that's the most disgusting thing I've ever drank.
Landfill: I doubt that very much, playboy
