kinda weird to see an undefeated hawaii team drop in the rankings this week. If they run the table, anyone think they get a BCS bowl bid?

If you were about to acquire a company and your employee brought you 5 options with following criteria -

Option.........W/L Over Market Leaders
A................ 3/1

Then imagine that employee told you to buy E! Wouldn't you fire that person? I think the BCS needs to increase the value of strength of schedule....if anyone has the official strength of schedule rating for the top 5, I'd love to see it...

What a wacky, wacky season.

Too bad college football games don't end at intermission -- if they did my Huskies would be undefeated with two ties, against Ohio St and USC. Unfortunately U-Dub has been outscored something like 698-3 in the third and fourth quarters.

Maybe Coach Willingham needs to work on a better halftime speech, or better yet maybe he should start suiting up to play? He could certainly do a better job stopping the opponents' running game than the eleven guys on defense he has been sending out there...

Great game last night. USF certainly has some playmakers. Ray Rice is a beast for Rutgers.

I love Thursday night college football on ESPN. Can't wait for next week's game in Blacksburg.

It was just a matter of time before USF took a loss with a sicknasty Big East schedule.

Even though I root for another Florida team, I have to admit I wanted USF to go all the way just because if they went undefeated and didnt make the NC or if they won it, it might spark some change in the system.

It just seemed like it would have been the perfect ending to this college football season..

Personally, I'm rooting for there to be no undefeated teams reamining after Dec. 1st, and for "the mother of all battles" to ensue over who the BCS selects to play for the national title. The only time that the BCS selection has been without much controversy has been when there were two undefeated teams from the BCS conferences that clearly were the only two worthy choices. And in those years what did we really even need the BCS for, anyway?

Here again is another cry for a true national playoff in D1 football. Yes, it would be very difficult to institute but please don't argue that is would be impossible. Four teams, six teams, eight teams or more -- any playoff system would be better and more fair than what we have now.
