After visiting the thread on SI's worst and best college football uni's, there has been some talk on Wyoming and BYU unis. The mention of Wyoming brought up an obscure name- Kenny Sailors. The link below is an interesting story about how Kenny originated the jump shot when he had to battle with his 6' 5" brother, Bud on a farm in Wyoming. Bud would bat down the ball "down his throat," yet Kenny recalled his mother's advice to "get back up."

I'm sure WyoPoke will be smiling because his Cowboys won the NCAA title in 1943 with a win over Georgetown.

I've met Kenny Sailors a time or two and he's a great guy. He moved to Laramie and is at all UW men's and women's home hoops games. He even drops by UW men's practices from time to time.

However, I'm still trying to figure out why he chose Laramie as his retirement home. They had baseball games SNOWED OUT last week. Of course, it was a freak snow storm, but being in the mountains the winter weather really stinks year-round. Fun town for college-age folk though.
