It's been a long time since there was a political discussion - this caught my eye yesterday.
Wasserman Schultz and Hastings named national co-chairs for Hillary Clinton

Just as I am amazed that Marion Barry was returned to office, the fact that this guy was removed from the bench and then elected to Congress is a sad comment on our electorate.
Why would Hillary name him to lead her campaign? Does she hold a special place for impeached individuals in her heart (assuming she has one)?
Please help me to understand this latest move.

A Representative since 1993 and a Democrat, Hastings was a lawyer and judge of the circuit court of Broward County, Florida, and United States District Court judge for the Southern District of Florida (1979 to 1989), until he was impeached and removed from office for corruption and perjury. He is only the 6th federal judge to be impeached and removed from office in American history.
