I love Durant, and he will be good. But I will take Oden any take of the week and twice on Sundays. Now, the question is, where will Josh McRoberts go?

boston and memphis got screwed......oden on either of those teams would have made them a playoff team this season

Sadly, Boston is apparently screwed because the Celtics used to be a very exciting team which was either loved or hated by anyone in the 1980s. Always loved the Celtics-Lakers battles back then. It was fun watching the Larry Bird-Magic Johnson show.

Exactly. I am a Duke apologists, and even I know McRoberts blows. If he goes in the top ten, we can all know that GM did not learn a thing from history...

By the numbers that might be true. But those teams tanked outright to get the number 1 pick in the draft. Serves them right!!

One of you may want to email Chad Ford and let him know what's up. Maybe Billy King, too, although evidence suggests he's a lost cause...

PICK TEAM PLAYER VITALS

#21 Philadelphia
(via Denver)

Josh McRoberts Position: PF
Height: 6-10
Weight: 230
Age: 20
School: Duke

The skinny: Sixers GM Billy King loves Duke players, and McRoberts has a lot more talent than his box scores at Duke suggest. He's tall, athletic and very skilled, but he played most of his career out of position at Duke.

He's not a go-to type player, but he should be a better, more athletic version of Luke Walton.

Come on, dont rip jj, he had back issues all season (my family is good friends with the redicks - my bro and him were best friends in HS - he was a better baseball pitcher than bball growing up) , thus led to a not so great preformance...one thing to remember, rookies arent superstars right away (unless your melo, or king james), unless they are really special (see paranthese above)....they haven' t had time to adjust to play defense and learn new systems. Plus they have get used to a more physical play....most rookies starte to show their true colors in their 2nd or 3rd year, which makes the 3 year max rookie deal a waste...they start to develop, and then they leave....some guys (dwade, lebron, etc from that class all resigned because they are restricted)

Let's not also forget that fine #3 pick, Mike Dunleavey, by the Warriors.

Greg Oden should be there first pick.

But i have seen Kevin Durant many times in person...and he is unbelieveable. He can hit threes all over the place, he can dunk on anyone, and he is a monster on the boards.

He cant be guarded. If you put a big man on him, he'll just run by him....and if you put a guard on him, Durant will shoot it over him.

he is unreal

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Now there is a ringing endorsement.
