With the playoffs over I thought it was time to get back to our favorite pastime, griping about the days' events. From The Washington Post today, it seems that Ahnuld is out to "terminate" climate change, even if Washington is going to be a bunch of "girlie men" and tell "true lies". If he doesn't get his way, there is no telling how much "collateral damage" there may be.

Lead or Step Aside, EPA
States Can't Wait on Global Warming

It's bad enough that the federal government has yet to take the threat of global warming seriously, but it borders on malfeasance for it to block the efforts of states such as California and Connecticut that are trying to protect the public's health and welfare.

I have been thinking the same thing. Let's get back to the debating

It's interesting, the states and industry are saying if the federal gov't won't take the lead then we'll do something. The thing that everyone is scared of is that the fed's will enact rules that will cost tons of money with little lead time to implement changes.

Stryker,
Why didn't you try to make an "Eraser" pun in your post? Also, if you had gotten a "Jingle All The Way" pun in there, I would have been in awe.

Commando is still the highest on the unintentional comedy chart. His general awkwardness when not killing people was hugely increased trying to play a doting father. Just awesome.

You can't really get on the EPA about this considering that up until about a month ago, they have not been able to set new National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). Given the recent changes (I cannot recall the legal case off the top of my head), they will probably be a more active agency.

I think you may be talking about the suit that just recently took place. Basically, they (groups) sued the EPA saying that they are responsible for protecting public health and have been negligent in their duty. From what I understand, this case is being appealed, but I haven't researched or back-checked.
