Just saw this trivia question from my peel-off trivia of the day desktop calendar:

What did baseball Charles Waite wear onto the field in 1875 that had fans ridiculing him as a sissy?

Frankly, this is not a densa nor a mensa question. 8)

You got it right. At the time Waite was playing as a first baseman for St. Louis, he was the first player to use one. What was interesting about his baseball glove - it was thin, flesh-colored, and unpadded- very much like the driving gloves in vogue at the time with gentlemen out riding in their buggies.
